INITIATIVES

At Amity Insulation Group Inc., we take corporate social responsibility seriously. We recognize that our responsibility to the world around us extends beyond the realm of everyday business.

Although our daily work is grounded in mechanical insulation systems supply and fabrication, Amity also takes time to identify outside organizations needing crucial support, whether they involve small business and green initiatives, charitable deliveries, and volunteerism, or donations and fundraising drives. In today’s fast-paced and often impersonal world, these efforts are a necessary means of attending to social and environmental causes like child welfare, education, health, poverty, homelessness, and the preservation of natural areas and wildlife, receive attention. Amity’s initiatives are identified and selected with care to benefit those in need locally, and around the world.

Kids Cancer Care

ABC Head Start

For more than 25 years, Edmonton-based ABC Head Start has provided preschool and family support programs to Edmonton families. ABC Head Start now supports more than 350 children and families across the city.

Alberta Lung Association / The Lung Association Alberta & NWT

The Lung Association, Alberta & NWT supports medical research and patient care programs, provides information about lung health, and advocates for public policies that promote respiratory wellness.

Basically Babies

For more than 30 years, Basically Babies has advanced and protected the welfare of infants born into families in extreme need through the provision of a beautiful gift of a gender-specific, cost-effective, baby wardrobe containing a one-year supply of baby clothing and accessories.

Baycrest Foundation Alzheimer’s / Baycrest Foundation

Baycrest is a world leader in neuroscience and memory research. The Foundation delivers evidence-based services to more than 2,500 seniors each day and provides education, products, and services that promote healthy cognitive functioning.

Canadian Cancer Society

The Canadian Cancer Society’s goal is to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of those living with cancer. The Society funds and provides information, support, and services to those living with cancer as well as their family members, friends, and caregivers.

Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS)

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society works cooperatively with government, First Nations, business, and other organizations to protect Canada’s wilderness areas and to promote a greater understanding of the value of Canada’s natural ecosystems.

Hope Mission

Hope Mission is a not-for-profit social agency caring for impoverished and homeless men, women, and children in Alberta. The mission has managed to employ almost 25,000 volunteer hours to serve 1,000 meals daily in recent months, while providing beds to more than 500 people needing shelter nightly. In a single year, the agency provided housing for close to 100 Edmontonians, and in one day, it provided care for over 800.

Jasper Place Health and Wellness Centre

The Jasper Place Health and Wellness Centre provides food, showers, clothing, and help finding transportation, housing and employment to Edmonton’s disenfranchised.

Kids Cancer Care

Kids Cancer Care meets the needs of Alberta families and children at each stage of the cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

The Mustard Seed

The Mustard Seed delivers short-term food, clothing, and shelter to the poor of Edmonton while working to create sustainable changes int their lives through long-term housing and employment.

Nature Conservancy of Canada

The Nature Conservancy of Canada partners with individuals, government corporations, and non-profits to acquire and manage ecologically significant land on an ongoing basis.

Parkinson Society Canada

The Parkinson’s Society of Canada represents Canadians impacted by neurodegenerative disease through essential education, support and advocacy. The Parkinson’s Society of Canada has invested more than $21 million in research initiatives in the last thirty years to help more than 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s every day.

Red Cross (International)

The Canadian Red Cross offers health care programs, relief supplies, water, sanitation and shelter to people affected by conflicts or natural disaster. Millions of individuals worldwide are supported by the Red Cross every year.

Salvation Army (National – Canadian Branch)

The Salvation Army provides social services in more than 400 Canadian communities, delivering food, clothing and shelter to children and families in need while offering rehabilitation services to those suffering from addiction.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides emergency relief, including food, clothing, furniture, and household items, to those struggling through misfortune, poverty, and difficult circumstances.

UNICEF

UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, is active in some 190 countries and territories, helping to feed, clothe, immunize, and educate children, while advocating for their rights worldwide.
